Sign ups for the Turkey Shoot

Hi all,

A week from this Friday is the NUPA Turkey Shoot. We had several sign-ups at last week's meeting, and we're still in need of a few sign ups to make the meal complete. We'd love to have you bring something, and we have the following categories that need commitments:

Salads

Sweet potatoes

Desserts

Vegetables (raw)

Stuffing

Cranberries

Gravy Rolls

You can let Linda, Carol, any of the Board or myself know and we'll get you on the list. Please do so as soon as possible.

This is usually a pretty big event, and if as many as can bring something do bring something (just at an amount you'd normally make), that would make life much tastier for everyone. If you know of someone who didn't get this message, please pass it on to them. Heavy pans, Dave

Please forgive my ignorance; I don't know what this means. Is the group going hunting for turkeys? Why is everyone bringing food for a hunting trip?

Sorry Mike, I should've explained better. The Turkey Shoot is an affectionate name for what would otherwise be described as a "pot-luck Thanksgiving dinner". Now, it may be that we do shoot turkeys, but probably not the same kind we'll be eating. I do have a super high powered extra accurate rifle that I bring to these events, and there are prizes for who scores the highest. Thankfully, the BATFA doesn't regulate Nerf weapons, so this will be entirely under their radar. :) Does that help?
