May's outing and club meeting!

Our next outing is Osceola, Nevada this weekend May 23-25, 26th if you count Memorial Day. Brandon would like a count of who all's going so he knows how much Fillet Migg-non to provide for the Saturday night potluck. Also, it's handy to know who to look for, Osceola can feel like a big place and it's nice to know that everybody who said they'd be there is there, once everyone who's anyone is anywhere everybody isn't not being at. . . I think . . . .

If you need travel specifics, check w/ Brandon when you give him your count. I have a GPS coordinate I'll provide by email only, since we don't want to give Skynet any more information than necessary.

Brandon 2x checked w/ George (the claim owner) for permission for this outing, and George provided this response: "You are very welcome to come out and get some gold on my claims above the County road in Dry Gulch. This has been a dry winter so I don‘t expect water to be flowing in the gulch. I should have plenty of water flowing at my old trailer at Osceola that you can haul to where you are working. Call me and I‘ll show you where to fill up. The AT&T cell service has improved and even Verizon now works in many areas. Get some gold."

Remember, we leave the site better than we found it, so keep your trash to yourself, fill in your holes, and don't do anything that would create any reason for George to change his mind. 🙂

Also, our May meeting will be AFTER the Osceola outing, on May 28th at the Weber County Library in Roy. You know the drill there, if not, feel free to ask Aunt Google - she knows everything.
